MEET THE HOST

Kelly Hawley

Kelly Hawley is a Ministerial Trauma Specialist, Founder and Executive Director of Warrior Bride Ministries. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Winthrop University. She has served individuals and families impacted by childhood exploitation for over 19 years. While ministering to survivors with similar stories as her own, she noticed the Lord was sending many who had been trafficked. This exposed Kelly to the bigger picture of ritual abuse and the lack of help available to trafficked survivors and those with dissociative identity disorder. After seeking training and mentorship from experts in the field, Kelly founded Warrior Bride Ministries. Kelly embraces the call to unite the body of Christ to become educated and involved in the rescue and healing of our children. She fosters this growth through ministry partnerships, hosting Counting the Cost conferences, and leading presentations at safe houses and other ministries. Her heart’s cry is for all believers to embrace Isaiah 61 by becoming equipped to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free.

Vocation

In addition to counseling full-time, I run a small business. I’m very thankful for the opportunities God has entrusted me with and I love what I do. I am learning that whatever God calls us to, he is faithful to see us through it and make every provision for us along the way.

Ministry

Served in the local church for 26+ years. Spent three amazing years volunteering with Alabama Teen Challenge. One of the most beautiful seasons of my life. I was also very fortunate to work with our local schools implementing character education programs in the early 2000’s. This came on the heels of Columbine. I trained with Birmingham Sozo for a season and was blessed to be mentored by Above & Beyond Counseling- Clearwater FL in inner-healing and deliverance. I love to worship, pray, teach, and give. I gravitate to all-things that cultivate healthy living and whole-heartedness. I appreciate Brene Brown and John Bradshaw’s work around eradicating shame. The enemy loves to use shame to thwart our healing journey, but God… He makes us strong & courageous.

Activities

Spending time with family and friends is the best. I love to walk. Very therapeutic. I do it often! The beach is my happy place. I enjoy fresh flowers, rainy days, cooking, and reading. I love to hear people’s stories and share a few of my own. Creating special moments makes my heart pitter-patter. My passion is people. I love to learn. And I’m a huge fan of long drives, beautiful conversations, and the Chicago Cubs.

What to Expect

This smaller-scale event will provide the perfect setting for meaningful connections and deeper engagement with our speakers, as well as opportunities for breakout sessions, demonstrations, and fellowship. While our conference covered a broad overview of ritual abuse and mind control, the retreat will focus on equipping you with the tools and skills necessary to work hands-on with survivors. You will gain practical insights into what a typical day of sessions looks like, explore the various tools we use throughout our work, and learn how you can incorporate these tools to help survivors heal.
